Featured Project: Creating a 3D Model - Mazda 6 Pro Mod
I took on an exciting challenge by creating a 3D model of the Mazda 6 Pro Mod for my client, Alex Cosme (also known as alex.racing.jr). Even though I only had access to six low-quality reference photos, I dived into making a car that didn't physically exist. Here, I'll show you how I did it step by step and the final results of this cool project.
Starting from Scratch: Bringing Ideas to Life
I began by working with the few reference photos to shape the car's front design. Using the right blueprints and detailed images of the original body, I started to capture the main look of the Mazda 6 Pro Mod.
Shaping the Body: The Challenge of the Back
Since the reference photos gave me only a rough idea of the back part, I needed to ask Alex if I could make a back part similar to the stock version. He said yes, so I went ahead. Every detail helped me get the right length and shape, and I tried my best to match what I saw in the pictures.
Adding Cool Features: Pro Mod Details
Pro Mod cars are all about the unique details that make them stand out. I added the special elements of the front, like lights, grills, and distinctive accessories. I had creative freedom to remake the front and rear lights with all their parts.
Creating Identity: Unique Spoilers and Accessories
I enriched the Mazda 6 Pro Mod's personality by making roll bars and a basic frame. I looked at other cars for inspiration and made each part with care. From the rear spoiler to the window details and exhaust system, each piece shows my commitment to making it look real.
Polishing and Presenting: The Power of Final Touches
Before showing the final version, I smoothed out the model by reducing unnecessary parts in the simpler elements. This made the overall design come together nicely and allowed the highlights to shine even more.
